The event, hosted by Heritage Hall, will give attendees an opportunity to discuss issues related to long term care in Virginia with Congressman Nye.   • Sep 08 2010 through Sep 10 2010, DGIF Hunter Education Course, 6PM at the Regional Fire Training Center at 28598 Beacon, Rd. in Melfa. There is no fee for this course. However, it is required for all persons purchasing a hunting license for the first time as well as all youth age 16 and younger. Participants must attend the entire sessions all 3 nights to successfully complete the course. Due to limited class size, you must pre-register as soon as possible.   • Sep 10 2010 through Sep 11 2010, 7th Annual Chincoteague Plein-Air Painting Event in Paschal Hall at St. Andrews Church at 6288 Church Street in Chincoteague. Over 40 artists will spend 2 days painting outdoors on Assateague and Chincoteague Islands. The paintings will be exhibited and on sale Saturday evening.
